This is a muzzle up, action open range as soon as weapons are removed
from the case and until placed back in the case.
The 170 Rule ensures safe firearm handling by requiring that the muzzle of a firearm must always remain pointed within a 170-degree arc, measured from the shooter's body. This prevents the gun from being pointed in unsafe directions, like toward other people or areas outside the designated shooting range. Violating this rule can result in disqualification to ensure safety during the competition.
Eye and ear protection must be worn by shooters and spectators.
SASS rules apply to all matches.
Shooting position is defined as being close enough to shelf or table to
ground a gun by taking only one step.
Pistol or rifle round over the berm is a Match DQ, shotgun round over the berm is a No Call.
